After an assault: what to do
- If you are in immediate danger in France: call 17, 112 or text 114.
- Get to safety and contact someone you trust.
- See a doctor, go to A&E or to a forensic medical unit as soon as possible, especially after physical or sexual violence or drug-facilitated assault.
- Keep evidence: messages, screenshots, unwashed clothing if the assault was recent, medical certificates, names of witnesses.
- Don’t stay alone: depending on the situation, call France Victimes, 3919, the CFCV, 119 or a specialist organisation.
- For minors: 119, the CRIP (the local child protection referral unit), the public prosecutor or a child protection organisation can be contacted.
WeBlame, a trusted third party — not an emergency service
WeBlame does not replace the justice system, specialist organisations or health professionals. The platform allows you to submit a secure testimony, identify possible other victims or witnesses of the same perpetrator and be directed to the appropriate resources.
These numbers and services change over time. If in doubt, check the official local website or findahelpline.com.
